i would check all fuses and the ignition switch
Does it turn over? Does it have spark? Does it have fuel? Does it turn over? Does it have spark? Does it have fuel?
No, the engine will turn over it just will not start because it will be getting no fuel as the pump is not running.
The ignition and fuel pump run off the same power Circe so I would look to fuses and relays first. But if there is no spark the fuel pump on most wont turn on past the prime cycle.
Pump, fuse, or fuel pump relay.
try the crank/fuel sensor...
Do you have fuel pressure at the rail? Has the timing been changed significantly?
Start with the basics. Is it getting fuel and spark? If no fuel then check the fuel pump and filter. For no spark check the cap, rotor, coil, and coil wire.
Assuming you have spark, when you turn the ignition key on do you hear the fuel pump run for a couple seconds? If not check the fuses, fuel pump relay and wiring. If you do hear the pump run check the fuel pump pressure, it may have a fuel pressure regulator problem.
Does it turn over? Check for fuel and spark--could be bad fuel pump or bad ignition coil
There is a ignition module inside of the distributor just under the rotor button, It has probley gone bad. REPLACE MODULE. It does control the fuel and spark.
yes, the purpose of the relay is to signal the pump to turn on and off, if its not working at all the fuel pump will not turn on.
if it just sputters and runs the battery down, it is not getting gas or could not be getting spark. the fuel pump could be bad. disconnect it at the fuel filter below the driver's door, have someone turn it over to see if it spits gas. no spark; pull a spark plug, leave it in the wire and turn it over to see if the spark plug sparks.
