There are many reasons for this. Maybe the "Door" switch is stuck in "on". As a quick fix, pull the fuse. That way you won't kill the battery. We are still having a problem with our 2000 Neon. We have tried various suggestions from this website. Check door fuse, and door switches. There is a connection between domelights, door locks, and auto locks with transmission. We bought a new driver door switch, less than 10$ at dealer, but that wasn't it. My husband has so far checked one rear door switch which seems to be okay. When it stops raining here he will try other side rear door. If you get a definitive answer, I would love to hear. Good luck, Grace
Most likely the fuse is blown for the dome light on the Silverado if the light doesn't come on.
Put the dome light switch on door located on the headliner to the side of the light
Keep messing with the headlight switch, the dome light should come on depending on the car model.
If you push that button, the dome light inside of the truck won't come on when you open the door.
The year, make and model info would help.
The dome light switch has 3 positions. Off-On-On when the door is opened. Put it in the proper position.
Sounds like you hooked into the wiring to the dome, or disconnected it.
courtesy light or dome light(small interior light located on headliner) inside of car ,will come on when door is open
The dome light switch on the dash is on.
The "dome" is the light on the ceiling of your car. It is called a dome because this light is usually shaped like a dome.
Bad bulb, check fuse if other courtesy lights out or if the only one
Take the bulb out.
