My 2002 Ford Ranger with 4.0 engine ran fine except when I put it in park or reverse. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Eventually I began losing power and it wouldn't get up to freeway speed. The problem was a clogged catalytic converter. When the converter was replaced full power returned and it never shuts off when I put it in park or reverse. Good Luck, Abraham
If this is the remote start system, it shuts down the engine for security.
sounds like the ignition module take it out and take it to any auto parts store that offers testing. that is where i would start looking if i was you
Had same problem on my 03. Replaced the fuel and air filter and had plugs replaced. Ran like new after. Dont know which its was but a place to start.
If your 2000 Ford Expedition shuts off while driving it you should discontinue use of the vehicle immediately. Then have the vehicle towed to your local dealership or mechanic shop to address the problem,
Have engine computer tested
a bait car shuts the robbers in when driving and then you can locate them
Turn it back on and continue driving?
if no warning and it just shuts down but dash lights and radio light up check ignition switch
There could be a few reasons why a 2000 Chevy Impala shuts off while driving. There could be a problem with the fuel pump, a bad spark plug, or even a loose battery cable.
Could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter.
A new Fuel pump relay fixed this problem for me.
IDK yup
