You cannot bypass the immobilizer. There is a reason for that. You will have to contact Toyota and have proof of ownership of the vehicle first then they will have you bring the car in for services.
Yes you can bypass the immobilizer by keying in your current PIN followed by "C1C" on the keypad. This will allow you to start the car after unlocking with immobilizer and you only have 1 minute to start the car. To revert back to manual entry, just key in "C0C".
Why would you want to bypass it? It helps keep your car from being stolen. If there is a problem or you need a key that works with it, just fix it and/or buy the key. A more detailed answer can be found here: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_remove_the_immobiliser_from_a_1995_Frontera_Sport By design it is difficult and expensive to remove this feature from a car.
Take to auto electricians as I had the same problem and they found a conlog relay for ignition faulty. after it was replaced car was working fine.
There is an immobilizer bypass unit (specific to your vehicle type) that must be wired to the remote start's brain and components of car. You must use one of your keys for this unit, so if you like having the number of keys you currently have you need to get another key programmed to your car (go to dealer), PRIOR to installing immobilizer bypass.
i had the same problem and it turned out to be my immobilizer had stopped the car from starting
the immobilizer prevents then engine from starting when for instance someone is trying to steal the car. if you have the proper key this should not engage.
we have had problems starting our car which turned out to be a transponder fault but it flashed up engine immobilizer on the dash. the part cost about £6 but it cost £90 to have the problem diagnosed on the computer at the citroen garage!
Sometimes. The only reason you will usually need a key to program is for the immobilizer bypass module. Depending on the immobilizer used in the vehicle, some will require two keys to properly program the bypass module. This will depend on whether or not your vehicle has an immobilizer, and if it does, what kind it has. Professional installation is always recommended with remote starts, and the installer should be able to tell you if your vehicle requires two keys to program.
If the immobilizer was your problem the car will start and die within a second or two. You cannot disarm the immobilizer, There is chip in the key and an antenna around your ignition switch. Disarming the immoblizer is ZIP tieing a key to your steering column so the car thinks the right key is always there. Then your neighborhood thief can shove a screwdriver in your ignition and the car will start. You have a different problem going on. Like a bad igntion switch.SourceVolkswagen Mechanic 21 years
