Make sure your setting inside is on "max" or "recirculate". If so, and the compressor doesn't kick on, then disconnect the low pressure cut-off switch usually located on or near the accumulator canister. Use a paper clip or jumper wire to jump across the two terminals on the connector. This should kick the compressor on and pull in the freon. The compressor wont turn if the freon levels are too low! It has a cutoff so if the freon all escapes the system the compressor wont be damaged.
