Make sure your setting inside is on "max" or "recirculate". If so, and the compressor doesn't kick on, then disconnect the low pressure cut-off switch usually located on or near the accumulator canister. Use a paper clip or jumper wire to jump across the two terminals on the connector. This should kick the compressor on and pull in the freon. no but your defrost wont work well
turn car on and also the ac at full blast, under the hood you should notice some metal tubing to the left with a blue cap, take the blue cap off and connect the hose that come with a kit along with a freon bottle, fill until the indicator is at the green section.(if you don't turn on the car the compressor wont spin therefore the freon wont circulate)
The compressor wont turn if the freon levels are too low! It has a cutoff so if the freon all escapes the system the compressor wont be damaged.
R134a it also takes 1.5 pounds of the reffrigerant (freon reffers to the older style) you can not even buy the other kind and unless your car is the 70's or older you wont come across it
It depends on the year of the car. From 1994 on, R134a refrigerant is used. Prior to that, they used R12 refrigerant (Freon). R134a is technically not "Freon". Be alert, however, as many older cars (like my 1986 Camry) have been retro-fitted with R134a systems, and can no longer accept Freon, as the two refrigerants are not compatible.
where do u put freon in a smart cAR 2009
Freon is odorless; you cannot smell it.
it will give you a head ache and get you high if you inhale right by the leak, but it wont seep through your vents and make you sleepy
Nothing, the AC service connections accept only equipment made for environmental 134-A since 1994 NO FREON!
Freon cooler is leaking from A/C system.
low freon
depemds on the car as how much freon it will hold. some cars have a tag saying how much freon the car is filled with. Too much freon is just as bad as not enough freon.
