If the cut is just a little cut then you can use such things as Neosporin or some type of antibiotic ointment, twice daily. Clean it out good first by using an antibiotic soap, rinse well and pat dry then apply the Neosporin. If the cut is long or deep and looks like it might need a suture, then go to your Veterinarian to have it checked out. Keep a good eye on it and if it gets redder looking or inflamed then go to your Vet. I always keep on hand some Nolvasan Solution and also some Nolvasan Cream. The Nolvasan solution is also good at cleaning out ears too and for hot spots and just about any small skin irritation or cut. But in answer to your question, yes you can use human antibiotic creams if they are mild. Stay away from Hydrogen Peroxide as it can damage & actually kill the skin or betadine as it is caustic to the skin too.
