broken hardware, a manual will describe how it's assembled, and basically, just need to remove door panel, and look for the obvious, and repair..good luck everyone should have a manual for their vechicle, and the library should have a professional shop manual available in the reference section for FREE to make copies of--the PRO manual has more detailed info, and may have wiring diagrams when needed...read up and fix 'em like a PRO...good luck Dave :)

Yes there are 3 fuse boxes in the 2001 olds alero. One on the side of dash on drivers side and one on passenger side of dash by the doors..also one in the engine.....power windows should be in the drivers side fuse box..if not they are in the passenger side fuse..30amp i believe..
