my friend you need to drop the trans pan. its inside along side the torqe converter solenoid, best to pick one up first so to idenify it. not to difficult to change
There is no such thing as a shift sensor, It is controled by the computor. You need a engine scanner so you can go into the transmission system and see what is going on with the transmission.
The Neutral safety switch is located on the back of the automatic transmission. it is quite simple to replace. It is probably easier to replace from under the vehicle, but it is accessable from the top if your vehicle is not equipped with ABS.
The automatic transmission temperature sensor, on your 1990 Mitsubishi, is located on the top of the transmission. The sensor will have to electrical wires going to it.
Transmission temp sensors do fail. they are easy to replace. it is located on the front of the transmission, just below the trans filter ( for automatic) the connector is a pinch style 2 wire assembly. the temp sensor is threaded into the case. The speed sensor is in the engine compartment on a 1995 Nissan Sentra GXE automatic transmission. It is on the back of the transmission.
The speed sensor on a 1996 Pathfinder 3.3 automatic transmission is in the engine compartment. It is on the transfer case.
Replace the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) in your transmission. It is the same part number for an automatic transmission and a manual transmission in those year models.
There are several sensors on this transmission. This question has no correct answer as there is no Transmision sensor.
Depending on the vehicle, a faulty VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) could affect the automatic transmission shift points.
The speed sensor is found on the transmission of the 1992 Honda Civic. To replace the unit locate the mounting bolts and remove them. Unplug the wiring clip and pull the sensor off.
The Speed Sensor (for 2.5 V-6) is located in the Transmission housing Drivers side behind the Dipstick Oil tube under the Distributor (hard to see!), you must remove the tube in order to access the sensor or replace it. It is a Cylindrical sensor with a tab on it for screwing it to the transmission, screw holding it is a 10mm.
