If the glass will open, you can just use a slotted screwdriver inserted into the key slot to drop the gate. Takes a little pressure, but it will work.
If it doesn't, and the glass doesn't click when closed, the hinge inside is stuck. You can push on it with the screwdriver and it should move. then try the screwdriver in the key slot again and it should drop the gate.

You may need to remove the cover of the fuse box to access the relay. It's often labeled on the fuse box diagram, making it easier to identify. If you're having trouble finding it, consulting the owner's manual can provide additional guidance.
Open up the tailgate/hatch. Look at the inboard sides of the taillightsThere are two black Phillips-head screws along the body seam, holding the assembly in. Simply remove those screws and pull the assembly straight out. If there are tailgate struts blocking the screws, you'll need to move them aside.
I assume you want to change the oil in your truck. To do that, what you need to do is disregard all that anyone has told you up until now. The easy way to do it is to drop the tailgate and locate the drain plug located right next to the tailgate latch on the drivers side.

If your's is a 4X4 you will need to drop the cross member.
