To replace the shocks on a 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, start by safely lifting the vehicle and securing it on jack stands. Remove the wheel to access the shock absorber, then unbolt the upper and lower mounting points of the shock using the appropriate socket or wrench. Replace the old shock with the new one, ensuring it’s properly aligned, and reattach the bolts securely. Finally, re-install the wheel, lower the vehicle, and test for proper operation.

All of my 2002 Silhouette outside lights had small leaks when I purchased the van used. I did not notice this when I bought it but shortly after, my rear lights all went out. I had to replace the whole assembly including the covers. I have not had any problems in the 4 years since I did that. After talking to several mechanics, I understand that is very common in the Silhouettes. Hope this helps.
I'm not sure if they changed anything between 2000 and 2002, but my 2000 window motor has 3 VERY breakable plastic clips that holds the motor in place around the gearbox.
replace power control solenoid. $50 part
There is no fixing the actuator, replace it with a new one.
