∙ 10y agoNo, he was not. The first president was George Washington, a white man. In fact, until 2008, when Barack Obama was elected, all of the presidents of the United States had been white men. All of our presidents, including Barack Obama, have also all been from the Christian religion-- one Catholic (John F. Kennedy) and all the rest various denominations of Protestant Christianity.
