That's odd. Usually people ask why is censorship available. The reason why to go against censorship is for the right of freedom of speech. Where I'm from, it's a given to have democracy and equity among people. So that probably makes me biased towards the topic however I do think everyone deserves access to information. How many times has searching in Google helped you with academic studies, or even watching a YouTube video help you with your own projects that are yet to be recognized.
The idea of censorship will limit and isolate a group that is trying to expand. Our young restless children will be imprisoned by the chains of strict censorship. In China, the most popular use of the internet is in discussion boards. China prevents people from looking at foreign sites, so the youth remain on discussion boards to criticize the government and express their views on the limited freedom they have.
However if someone were to find out about their opposing idea of censorship, they could face a penalty by the government. I think people should express themselves because it shows everyone else a better picture of what is happening.
The only positive use of censorship, which government has the power to do, is to restrict information that could cause mass panic. The point of a government is to keep a civilization stable and if censorship is the answer then yes. But an excessive use of this tactic is just an excuse to gain control. If you censor the outside world, no one will know of its existence and that is a sad thought to have in mind.

The media is a big part of life in the world. Should it be censored? It depends upon what you would consider in what "needs" to be censored. Generally some media could go about their routines a little differently to make it more enjoyable. But without the media our world would not know about the disasters or news that has just happened in the world. The media could use some censoring, but it depends upon how much truth you want to hear.
Effectively yes.
Yes, there is an English word which is censored from the media and public in China. That word, believe it or not, is "censorship".
normative theories are those theories which tell a way how should media govern.
The media has a right to report any information they obtain, but Law Enforcement and the courts can prevent the media from obtaining sensitive information (by not telling them).
The Australian Government censored everything to do with the war. In the attack on Darwin, other cities did not gain any real information as to what had happened. Or, the government scattered details over weeks, for example, in one week they would say that 4 people died today, the next week another 6 people died here. Anything that disclosed details of an attack were censored to stop mass panic on the homefront. This was not only newspapers but television and radio also. The government was given complete control of the media. Not only the media, but during war time a censorship board was established to censor soldiers letters home to families. Anything censored would just be blacked out.
has mild *CENSORED* such as *CENSORED* , *CENSORED* and *CENSORED*
usually the media in wars is there to provide a morale boost to the public, and to create a hatred for the enemy. The propaganda organizations oversee the media during mass wars, (e.g. The ministry for propaganda was active all through World War 2, and all media was censored) This was to stop people voting against the war, the Media is in fact as powerful a method of fighting wars as the soldiers themselves, because without media and propaganda, there would be no volunteers and soldiers, and vice versa.
