I just went through this with my '89. The part that was bad was the Ignition Control Module. The Haynes manual said it was located inside engine compartment on the firewall on passenger side. I found it on my Jeep in the engine compartment, driver's side wheel well near the bottom. Three screws hold it in place and they are accessed from the outside of the wheel well.
In the mid 1990's
Replace the ignition coil.
Had same problem on my 1990 rs took it to two mechanics could not find issue. Its a fuse blade type kinda hidden where the battery goes its a black connector pop the top on it and replace fuse , it should run after that. Mine got fried when i gave someone a jumpstart.
change fuel filter
You probably need a new set of plug wires. If the ones on it are original, they are probably breaking down and have a lot of resistance as opposed to a new set.
Electric.
The Grand Wags had a four speaker cassette player Dolby system.
the 89 with the 360 has the pcv valve in line behind the carburator.
To tune the choke valve on a 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, start by ensuring the engine is cold. Locate the choke mechanism, usually attached to the carburetor. Adjust the choke by loosening the screws and rotating the choke housing until the choke plate is fully closed when cold, then re-tighten the screws. Finally, start the engine to check if the choke opens properly as it warms up; make further adjustments if necessary for optimal performance.
The fuse box on a 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is located under the dashboard on the driver's side. You can find it mounted on the left side, near the steering column. To access it, you may need to remove a cover or panel. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific details and diagrams.

Not with out major modifications. The AMC 360 in a Wagoneer and the Chrysler 360 are completely different vehicles. Not with out major modifications. The AMC 360 in a Wagoneer and the Chrysler 360 are completely different vehicles.
Yes you should be able to make this swap.
if it has the 360 engine look on below and behind the distributor. you can follow the fuel line from the carb to it.
no it does not. It does have an electronic control module that will very often go bad in the heat. it is located on the drivers side fender.
That will depend greatly on the condition. It could be scrap metal price, $200, or many thousands of dollars if mint condition.
To replace the PCV valve on a 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, first locate the PCV valve, which is typically found on the valve cover. Disconnect the hose attached to the old PCV valve and twist it gently to remove it from the valve cover. Install the new PCV valve by pushing it into the valve cover and reattaching the hose securely. Finally, check for any leaks and ensure everything is properly connected.
