First you back off the stud at the top of the alternator, than at the back of the alternator there is an adjuster tensioner bolt has to be loosened, then you need to loosen the Power Steering pump (3 bolts), then remove power steering belt, then remove alternator belt, then to install new belt do the same except in reverse order.... (found out the hard way.)
first locate the belt tentioner. after that rent or find access to a serpentine belt tool. place that tool on the tentioner then release the pressure... play around with that for a while. should be pretty simple after that.
Check the pulley alignment on the alternator (as you view it from the side) and also the other other pulleys that use the same belt. The pulleys should all line up otherwise the problem you're having will occur. Even a small misalignment can create problems.
Also, replace the belt tensioner and check bearing condition in the other pulleys.
You will need to loosen the alternator tensioner bolt. Slide the alternator to the left to loosen the alternator belt. Take the alternator belt off and reverse the process to install the new alternator belt.
Just above the a/c compressor is an adjustment bolt for the tensioner. First loosen the nut in the middle of the tensioner pulley using a 14mm wrench then using an 8mm socket you loosen the adjustment bolt which will relieve the belt tension.
Release tension at automatic tensioner use a breaker bar and socket
You have to replace it from under the car. If you don't have a hoist, or at least GOOD quality jack stands, don't attempt this yourself. Take it to a shop.

Absoutely, tho it's probably built into the alternator. Ask your local auto parts supplier if a replacement regulator is available. Of course you have to disassemble the alternator and install the regulator if it in inside your alternator. lol It's inside the alternator. Either replace the alternator or get a diagram of the alternator and rebuild it.
