Remove driveshaft. Remove transfer case if you have 4X drive. Support engine. Remove transmission. Replace clutch. Reverse procedure to install.

get a book! you have to drop the transmission which isn't a whole lot of fun then unbolt the old clutch assembly and install a new one
You're gonna hafta drop the entire tranny to get to the clutch, pressure plate, and even tho throwout bearing/ slave cylinder.
Replace clutch master cylinder and bleed system,also check your slave cylinder for leaks.its bolted to your transmission,the clutch cable is connected to it.
A 1990 Ford Ranger may not shift into gear if the clutch is out. A clutch can be purchased at any auto parts store.
