I'm not 100% sure, but try disconnecting both battery cables for 20 min. I know for sure that this works on older cars (I have done this on 1991 and 1993 Fords, etc...) hopefully it works for the new-gen 96+ computers.

∙ 8y agoAs this should be an OBD1 system, removing the fuse or the positive battery cable for 10 minutes should reset the computer.

∙ 16y agoIf the truck has distributerless ignition,disconnect battery for a few minutes,reconnect battery & drive the truck.The computer should reset timing within 10 miles.
