From a mechanic, at $75 an hour, at 1 hour per side. Your looking at $150 labour. $20-$25 for most rotors, times 2 that's about $50. Pads for each side, maybe $30-$50 times 2, that's $60-$100. This is providing that you only have disc brakes on the front. If you have 4 wheel disc, then multiply by 4 for instead of 2.
Front brakes or back> front is really simple, when you take the caliper off, the caliper is held on with 2 1/2 bolts... the rotor will come off if your going to replace that to, it will slide off the spindels when the caliper is removed... put the new pads in place and slide the caliper back on and put the 2 bolts back in to hold the caliper in place.
regular drum brakes in the back on that model, any parts store should be able to get the new lining for you.
The dealer will know how to access the codes for the brakes. When that is fixed it should not lock up then.
You replace them. It's quite simple and involves only removing the brake caliper and caliper mounting. You can get them machined, but the cost of that is getting higher than just buying good used ones now. -Most wreckers yards will sell you good ones for about 18-20
you will probably have to replace the complete mirror, cable and all.
If the truck has disc brakes on the rear then the park brake shoes are located inside the rear rotors. You have to remove the brake calipers, pads and rotors to access them
Frozen brake caliper
Normally this is caused by warped brake rotors.
The minimum thickness for rotors on a Dodge truck is between 0.5 and 1 inch. It varies greatly based on the model and whether it is the front or rear brakes.
With a mechanic!
Could have either on the rear. Both were an option.
$360 @ Graham Tire for rear brakes and rotors
take it to a qualified dodge mechanic
i need a diagram on how rear brakes are assembled
Answering "How do you replace the brake pads on a 2004 Dodge Durango limited with anti lock brakes?"
It depends on what type they are, but a rough estimate is about thirty to fifty dollars without the rotors. If you need rotors, it will cost $100 plus.
Vibration when applying brakes is most likely warped rotors. Another cause could be loose caliper bolts.
