I'm not sure on everything but I just read on another sight that there was a recall regarding the airbag light coming on. it said that the clockspring was wound too tight and it made the light some on and that it may affect whether or not the airbag works. i definitely recommend having it checked by a professional. it is the clock spring. i had the same problem and it is a recall, they will fix it for free at a dealer.

I need to do the same replacement due to the air bag light is on constantly. I called Chrysler and I was told this is a recall issue (recall # B24). For detail for yourself, call Chrysler (800)853-1403. You might have dealer repair for you free.
If the fuse is still good, does youre airbag light stay on, and the crusie control is out too? I would believe it is the "Clocking spring" that needs to be replaced! I know,... you're saying what is a clocking spring? All I know is it located in your steering wheel just under your deployable airbag. We had ours replaced by a factory recall. Look it up, it's still at NO COST to you. It's a Chrysler recall. (its a clock spring, and it is a air bag safety feature, that will prevent the airbag from going off. If your airbag light is on, take to certified repair facility asap. it may mean it wont fire in crash, but it could be a lot worse, if it is covered by recall, take advantage of it)
As per www.totalrecallinfo.com there are 3 recalls on this item, but not the clock spring.
The recall was because of a wrong size recoil spring. the shot guns recoil would break the buttstock after about 100 rounds.
Symons cone spring crusher is a kind of cone crusher designed by DSMAC, then you can visit the company's website to check the repair manual.
I have a vehicle which had a recall for clock spring trouble. There were no mechanical issues which disrupted the vehicles performance while driving. However, the air bag light stayed on until the repair was done. This apparently means the air bag was not functioning as designed. So the problem is one of safety in a collision event where airbags would be deployed.
