There is some variance in connections car to car, but they all do the same thing. At the carb. or throttle plate on the motor, the cable goes over a half round guide and the end slides into a round slot. Rotate the guide to full throttle and slide the end out of the slot. The cable goes through the firewall and should have a screw holding it in place. Inside on the gas pedal at the top will either be another end like the throttle end or may be a loop over a pin. May have a cotter pin or clip holding it. Remove and pull out through the firewall. To help get the new one in tie a string to the end of the old one and reattach it to the new one. Use the string to pull and guide the new one in. Reattach the ends and done.
about 15-25 GBp :)
sounds like you need to put some powder graphite on the accelarator cable. You can pick some up at your local auto parts store replace throttle cable, throttle cable is more than likely worn somewhere causing it to stick
Could be a broken cable under the drivers seat, unfortunently
The speedometer cable gear is broken inside the transmission. If the car is older, it is an easy fix. Follow the cable to the input on the tranny, unscrew the cable and the gear is right there. Pop it out and replace it with a new one from the auto parts store. They should be able to order it for you.
simply buy a new or or use hard glue :P
the throttle cable itself will have to be replaced. the cable is most likely fraying internally.
The cable must be replaced if damaged.
Your clutch cable snapped. It should be an easy fix.
cut the outer tubing back or raplace it
Chances are the throttle cable from the pedal to the throttle body needs replacing.
1st check throttle housing, then if it is the cable getting stuck you can oil it a little bit
you will need to replace the throttle cable, and while you are at it check the return spring.
Splicing a fiber-optic cable.
Its not a kickdown cable its a throttle pressure cable. Take it to your local shop. They might do it for free. If not they might do it for an hour of labor
Sounds like you've got a kinked cable somewhere. Check them and if so, replace.
Could be a bad coil, plug wire, plug, etc. One thing to check. If it runs on one cyl. At low rpm, but both at high rpm, the right throttle cable can be out of the throttle body sleeve. One quick fix with engine off, is to wick the throttle full open hard, and let the throttle snap shut a few times. OR look at both throttle cables at the thr. Body to see if the right cable is hung up on the sleeve. Both sides have to be identical .
you might be able to adjust it down at the trany, but it would be better to just replace the hole cable
