We did have a problem with the engine. Cracked block from the car over-heating. That basically killed the car... I'm not really sure if its a bad thing, but my friend had this really old car and he would the the key out while we were driving. far i know nothing bad every happen good luck

SRS = Supplimental Restraint Systems When you turn the ignition "on" all the vehicle management systems are checked out electronically........if the SRS indicator lamp is "off" after a few seconds the safety system is working OK, if the lamp stays "on" there is a malfunction with seatbelt tensioners or airbags. In this case you need to get the system checked in case your airbags trigger unexpectedly or maybe not at all in an accident.
If your question concerns the ignition on some cylinders of a motor, then faulty ignition leads or a dirty distributor should be checked.
