If you asked me where would I get a wiring diagram for my Subaru: I would visit my local dealer and they would copy their's for me. But I can understand how folks try not to go there EVER, because the parts are so expensive, I try to source aftermarket too, but I seem to end up there on a regular basis, there being some stuff you just can't get aftermarket. I think maybe a Haynes manual, there are wiring diagrams in them, but I can't really recommend a Haynes manual, as they are so crummy. I would try my specific question here and see if someone answers, there seems to be specific wiring trouble spots, common to all these cars (eg: Legacy 90-94), that if you own/have owned one of these cars you become familiar with.
I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT (Wagon) and haven't been able to find a hitch. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? If I am able to find a hitch, I would then try to get the Outback trailer hitch wiring harness from my Subaru dealer. I would expect the wiring in the two cars to be the same, but I suppose they could be different. I noticed the Legacy wagons don't have the rear 12 volt jack that the Outbacks have. This is something I'd like to add too for one of those electric coolers. That would be nifty I think. Thanks . . .
It is important to have a diagram of the wiring system in a car. The wiring diagram for a 1979 GMC Jimmy can be found it is maintenance manual.
The?æ1999 Yukon wiring diagram is basically a map of all the wiring in the 1999 Yukon. These wiring diagrams can be found in the Yukon's repair manual.
You can find a wiring diagram for a Ford Courier 2003 model in most Chilton's manuals or repair manuals for that vehicle. The wiring diagram will include fuse locations as well as wiring locations.
Here is a wiring color and location diagram www.scionlife.com/tech/?article=38

try web site www.graphics.cornell.edu/~v/bcstereo/
www.bbs.legacycentral.org is a GREAT resource for the first generation Legacy. Search that site. Huge amounts of info there.
Every car has many grounding points and a text description here would be useless. You can obtain a Subaru Legacy service manual from eBay sellers for less than $10. The manual will include complete wiring diagrams that identify grounding points.
You didn't ask a question here but I will assume that you are seeking a source for a wiring diagram for Subaru Impreza. You can purchase complete factory service manuals from sellers on eBay for less than $10. These are in .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) format for your computer and contain complete wiring diagrams. You will need to know the model year of your Impreza.
