Yes - depending upon the year, several kits may be available. The 2G DSM (95-99) has a popular kit manufactured by Hahn Racecraft, which utilizes a 16G and comes in both intercooled and non-intercooled versions. The Star turbo kit was another popular model for early adopters, however the documentation and support for this kit was severely lacking in comparison to HRC. Both kits provided similar performance at similar price points, and slightly bettered the performance of stock turbo DSMs. Many smaller shops may have produced limited run kits, but none with the following and install base of HRC and Star.
The 3rd generation Eclipse has a few kits put out by various performance shops, but none seem to have the following of the 2nd generation. Unfortunately, the 3G is viewed as the downfall of the Eclipse, and the 4G is an even porkier rendition.
There was a stock turbo option for the 93 eclipse. there was also a non-turbo (n/a) option.
It depends on what year model eclipse u have is it the turbo or non turbo model
For the right price you can put a turbo on just about anything. Unfortunately for you the cost to put a turbo on a non-turbo eclipse is probably more than going out and buying an eclipse with a turbo already on it.
turbo or non turbo?
This depends on if the eclipse is automatic or manual and also if it is the turbo model or the non-turbo model.
intake ports are differnt non-turbo only one vac port for the fuel reg.
If the car is the same as in it came out of a non-turbo and your putting it in a non-turbo it will work but if it came out of a non-turbo and your putting it in a turbo then it won't work. If it came out of a turbo and your putting it in a non-turbo it won't work. If it came out of a turbo and your putting in a turbo then it will work.
the hp for a stock 4g63 non turbo is 160 and tq is 140
The engine, accessories, transmission, computer, exhaust, etc - it would be cheaper to simply sell the non turbo and buy a turbo model. Alternatively, Hahn Racecraft makes a turbo kit specifically targeted to the 420A engine in the Eclipse RS/GS and Talon ES/ESi for prices of approximately $3k, and is offered in several customized layouts.
160 turbo models have 210
Yes it is.
the non turbo 420a makes 140hp and the 4g64 spyder engine makes 141.
