To remove an interior door handle from a Hyundai Excel, first, ensure the door is open and locate any screws securing the handle, typically found near the base or inside the handle itself. Use a screwdriver to remove these screws. Once the screws are out, gently pry off the handle cover, if applicable, and pull the handle away from the door panel, disconnecting any linkages or electrical connectors if present. Finally, remove any additional screws or clips that may be holding the handle in place.
Push the door panel in around the window handle and use a screwdriver or a piece of wire with a hook to pull the clip off....it's in behind the handle.
How do you remove front door Panel on Hyundai Excel 1999 to Rplace front door SPEAKER'S
I have come to the conclusion myself that the only way to remove the glovebox in a Hyundai Excel is .................................................................................................................get a hammer and smash it to bits
You don't
Dynamite
you need to first take off the interior side of the car door so you can get to the bolts that are holding the handle in place. there are two - one on either side of the handle and they can be difficult to remove. you need to make sure that you also pull out the key barrell from the old door handle by taking off the u clip holding it in place and there is also the connection wire from the interior handle to the exterior door handle that needs to be removed also. to put the new handle in remember to connect the wire for the interior handle and the key barrell then you can bolt the handle back in place.
To replace the door handle on a 1998 Hyundai Excel, first, remove the door panel by unscrewing any visible screws and carefully prying off clips. Once the panel is off, locate the screws holding the door handle in place and remove them. Disconnect the linkage and wiring (if applicable), then replace the old handle with the new one, reattach the linkage, and secure it with screws. Finally, reattach the door panel, ensuring all clips and screws are secure.

I had the same problem with a Hyundai Accent 1996. You need to disconnect the speedometer inside the front hood.
