A grinding noise when accelerating in a 2000 Dodge Caravan could be caused by several issues, including worn or damaged transmission components, such as gears or bearings. It might also indicate problems with the drive axles or CV joints, which can produce grinding sounds when they fail. Additionally, low or contaminated Transmission Fluid could contribute to poor lubrication, resulting in grinding noises. It's important to have a qualified mechanic inspect the vehicle to diagnose and address the issue properly.
if its a front wheel drive vehicle then it could be the axels
could be a wheel bearing...or just that its a french car
The grinding noise in the front of a 1990 Dodge Caravan could be a cv joint. If it is, it probably only grinds when you take a sharp turn. There is one located on each side.
Noises have to be heard to be correctly diagnoised. Check the motor mounts to see if they are broken.
Fuel is not good!
Could be in need of a tune up. Replace spark plugs, wires, air and fuel filters.
Is it from the wheel? If so, then it could be numerous of things: worn hub bearings, worn brake pads/shoes/rotor, faulty drive axle...listen carefully and take you car to a certified mechanic!
The grinding sound when accelerating could indicate a worn-out CV joint or a problem with the transmission. The loud whirring noise at all speeds could be due to a failing wheel bearing or an issue with the differential. The higher engine temperature than normal could suggest a problem with the cooling system, such as a failing water pump or a blockage in the radiator.
sounds more like transmission slipping diff slipping would cause loud grinding or howling noise
mine is a 2001 QX4 with the same problem. as far as i know, it could be a bearing problem.
could be a center support bearing or a bad engine mount. i would check those first.
could be a bad plug
