It will rattle around under the hood. Use what ever means necessary to secure it. Any hardware store can sell you replacement bolts.
depending on your vehicle, the housing is whear your oil filter screws into. remove oil filter and thi should reveal 3 or 4 bolts in the side of housing remove bolts should come off no problems replace seal behind housing reverse process
When you open the hood, the air intake unit is to the right of the battery. Use a rachet with an extension to loosen the bolts that hold the filter housing together. The bolts will not fully come out, so loosen them enough that you can be able to remove the filter housing. Lift the housing straight up, and you will see the filter underneath. Replace it with a new one, making sure the new filter is flush on top of the housing, so it can properly close. close the housing, tighten the bolts and you're done.
Remove the hose to the air filter and air filter assembly, you will be able to see the starter. Two bolts hold in place. Remove the hose to the air filter and air filter assembly, you will be able to see the starter. Two bolts hold in place.
The two bolts are reachable only ewhen you remove the air filter assembly and the battery. They can be found on the back/top part of the transaxel housing. One is adjacent to a bolt that secures the transaxel housing to the engine. The upper starter bolt is just slightl to the rear of it. ayou'll need a 14mm wrench for both bolts.
TAke the bolts soose that hold it on. It is an assembly.
When engine is cool- Remove the air intake filter assembly and air hoses to expose the Thermostat housing on the engine. Make sure you mark or paint where any removed hose goes back on the engine or air filter assembly. The thermo is in the engine, under the water connection housing. The top radiator hose is connected to that housing. Remove two -three small bolts on housing. Replace thermo and gasket. reinstall bolts and check out water supply for leaks. If none -reinstall all things removed to access thermo and test all operations.
Headlight Bulb Replacement * If your going to replace the left hand light bulb remove the air filter housing * Disconnect the electrical connector unless replacing the headlight housing * Rotate the bulb holder counterclockwise and pull it out the bulb and holder assembly Headlight Housing Replacement * Remove the front bumper cover * Remove the upper headlight housing mounting bolt and pushpin * Remove the lower headlight housing mounting bolts * Pull out the headlight housing assembly and disconnect the electrical connector
The thermostat housing on the 1998 Mazda 626 6 cylinder is located underneath the air filter housing. You need to remove this air filter housing to get to the thermostat housing. There's two (2) bolts the left connecting the thermostat housing to the motor and another two (2) bolts facing the steering wheel connecting it to the engine. This is where the thermostat is housed.
# Remove the front bumper cover # Remove the upper headlight housing mounting bolt and pushpin # Remove the lower headlight housing mounting bolts # Pull out the headlight housing assembly and disconnect the electrical connector
1. Remove the flat plastic cover from the top of the engine by removing the two bolts and pulling up. There is a hidden friction support on the left side of the enginge when viewed from the front. 2. Loosen the hose clamp around the air intake at the engine. 3. Loosed the hose clamp at the outlet of the air filter assembly. 4. Remove the hose assembly that connects the air filter assembly to the engine air intake. 5. Undo the spring clamp that hold the two halves of the air filter assembly together and loosen the clamp ring. IMPORTANT: Note where the clamp lever is in relation to the line up tab at the top of the filter housing. 6. Pull the front of the air assembly away from the rest of the filter housing. Note where the clamp ring fits over the plastic tabs at the bottom of the removed housing half. IMPORTANT: Becareful when removing the front of the housing as there is a wiring harness that is connected to an air mass sensor in the housing. I did not need to disconnect the wiring harness as I was able to move the loose part toward the firewall. 7. You are now able to access the filter to replace it. 8. Reverse these disassembly steps to everything back together properly.
This is one of the most inane questions I have seen on this board. However, here it is. Locate the filter housing right behind the battery. loosen the clips(or bolts, depending on model year) around the housing. Lift the housing and remove the filter. Feeling really stupid yet???
it has 2 or three bolts holding the housing to the side of the engine block. You will have to remove the long support bracket to get access to these bolts, not hard just need a long extension for one of them.
