There are 3 drain plugs on the Toyota Tundra V8 engine and radiator. On the radiator petcock, the plastic thumbscrew, and drain valves are on the bottom, driverâ??s side of the radiator.
To drain the coolant from a 2000 Jetta GLS, first ensure the engine is cool, then locate the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator and place a container underneath to catch the coolant. Open the drain plug and allow the coolant to flow out completely. Additionally, you can remove the radiator cap to help the fluid drain more efficiently. Don't know off hand but you could always pull the lower radiator hose and drain it that way.

There should not be a coolant drain on the engine block. You are probably looking at a freeze plug which should NOT be removed. The freeze plugs where openings for the original production/casting of the engine block and are sealed.
Remove the lower radiator hose.
