The horn fuse is under the hood next to the battery. It also controls the power to the steering wheel's cruise control buttons. The fuse is 10 amp.
It doesn't control anything. It is the connection for the cruise switches, horn switch, radio controls(if equipped) and airbag that allow the steering wheel to turn and there to still be a connection.
on our 2001 there is a cruise control button on dash push it then use controls rite side of steering wheel.
Yes, on a 1999 Subaru Forester, the ribbon wire for cruise control is inside of the steering wheel. The same ribbon also controls the horn.
A combination switch is the unit behind the steering wheel that hold the controls for the lights, cruise control and window washer.
The cruise and radio switches do not share a common fuse.
on the steering wheel
Hell no. Even on a Limited w/ all bells & whistles.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but if your horn and cruise control stopped working at the same time , it might be the clock-spring inside your steering wheel column cover . The clockspring allows a person to turn the steering wheel while still maintaining the electrical connections to your horn and cruise control buttons
cruise control
I'm not a mechanic / technician but it sounds like a problem with the clockspring inside the steering wheel column cover if the horn and the cruise control does not work ( the clockspring allows you to turn the steering wheel without pulling the wiring connections to your horn and cruise control switches mounted in your steering wheel )
A clock spring, when you are talking about vehicles, is a device that allows all the wires that are connected to the steering wheel, such as horn, turn signals, headlights, cruise control, and radio controls to still work when the steering wheel is turned. It makes all the connections by way of a device that can turn and still stay connected.A clock spring, when you are talking about vehicles, is a device that allows all the wires that are connected to the steering wheel, such as horn, turn signals, headlights, cruise control, and radio controls to still work when the steering wheel is turned.
