In most cases your HP notebook is in "power saving" mode. Please make sure your notebook is plugged into a power source as the battery could the result of the "blinking" ON button. If the battery is low, the computer will not turn on and will stay in "sleep" mode. If this is not the case, simply press and hold your power button that is blinking for 5-10 seconds. You will see your computer turn-off. Press the power button again (*given that the steps above have been followed through) and your computer light should turn back on and remain solid.

The reset button is located on the drivers side fuse panel. I believe that you turn the ignition on but don't start, push button til light blinks then push again and it will make a chime sound and light should go off.

Normally, on a laptop or notebook, there is an on/off button for the Touchpad. Sometimes, this is just above the Touchpad itself and may have a light indicator alongside the button also. Press the button, the light goes out, and the pad is disabled. Or, the button will be somewhere on the top row of keys/functions of the keyboard. You may have to press a special 'fn' key + this Touchpad key together, in order to turn it off.
Your TV has a problem. If you watch the flashing red light and count the blinks, it's actually flashing a trouble code. Maybe something like four blinks, followed by three and then repeating.
