fats are needed in the body as an energy source. it fuels you to run, dance, or just to function. it also cushions your bones from knocking together.Fat is also needed to keep your body warm or you'll be cold all the time! if there is no fat then the body will use muscle for energy and that isn't good. good fat sources for any diet consist of nuts, avocado, healthy oils, granola, whole butter , fatty fish , red meat ( but be careful with red meat because of cholesterol levels) . a person who normally eats about 2,000 calories should get about 66 grams of fat per day. try not to eat so much saturated fat , and little or no Trans.fat , cause those have no health benefits for you. better to have polyunsaturated , or monounsaturated fats. some other foods with fat are fried foods, baked goods , and sweets , these are all BAD fat sources and should be avoided as much as possible. hope this helps!
