Do the following:
Eliminate Sodas of any kind (even No calorie sodas).
Eat only whole grain breads
Eat only whole grain pastas. Any bread or pasta that is white was treated with chlorine to get that way. Whole grains actually taste better.
Eliminate sugary foods
Drink Lime or Lemon flavored water
Drink only Black coffee. You will like it after about 3 times.
Eliminate Beer.
Buy some apples and Oranges or other fruits that you can place around the house and eat them when you get a taste for a quick bite.
Once a week eat whatever you want for a day.
You must exercise while losing weight or you will lose bone and muscle with the fat. You may be converting fat to muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, Go by the way you feel and your waist size, not just your weight.
30 minutes is a healthy amount of exercise for a day. Remeber, do not overdo it.
Eat Healthy and at a right amount, sleep early, and be happy! And exercise.
