Most religions believe in life after death, but some interpret it in different forms. Christians, Jews and Muslims, whose religions are monotheist, believe that you go to the afterlife when you die and spend eternity in Paradise. Hindus believe in an afterlife, but they also believe in reincarnation- that the soul is reborn in different bodies again and again, reliving mortal life in a higher or lower form depending upon how good or virtuous you were in your previous life. They believe that you exist in an afterlife between incarnations but do not remember it after being reborn, but that in the end, the soul reaches a high state of perfection and peace they call Nirvana, which is effectively being at one with the Universe and with Creation. Buddhist belief is similar, but for the fact that Buddhism doesn't actually have a God- Buddha, which means 'the enlightened one', is venerated as a great sage and master teacher, but is not seen as being a divine being or a Godhead in the same way as other religious figureheads are. The practice of Buddhism is seen more as a way of life than a religion, but their concept of the afterworld and the fate of the departed is similar to Hinduism.
Bahai'ism, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism teach respect for the validity of all religions, and all believe in life after death. There are to be honest very few that don't believe in an afterlife at all, but some of the Eastern ones interpret it differently to the way it's interpreted in the West. The only one I can think of that did NOT believe in an afterlife was the ancient and long-extinct Sadducee cult which existed in the Middle East before and during Jesus's time, and which he condemned as being materialist and self-centred. The ancient Greeks and Romans hoped fervently that their Gods would look favourably on them and admit them to the next world, but did not take it for granted, which is why they sought to continually appease them with sacrifices and idolatry.
Many religions believe that. However, in these belief systems, whether you go to heaven or hell is usually dependent on your behavior while you live here on Earth.
Hinduism is the main one.
This is more of a religion question. In my religion (Mormon) we go to a spirit world, and then to heaven.
If a person believes in God and ask god to come into their heart they will go to heaven and will live forever there but I'd they don't they will go to hell
If a person believes in God and ask god to come into their heart they will go to heaven and will live forever there but I'd they don't they will go to hell
It depends on what one believes, mostly.
You go to heaven or hell.
According to the Bible, anyone can go to heaven. A person will go to heaven if he or she believes that Jesus died from their sins and that he rose from the dead, and if they pray to him and ask him into their heart.
Christianity is not the only religion that announces that a person will go to Heaven if people are in that religion. In Islam, God promised us that He will sent Muslims to Heaven so long that they are striving to serve and please Him. Islam and Christianity are different since Islam believes that God is one and Muhammad is His slave and messenger while Christianity believes in Jesus Christ as he died on the cross for their sins and that he is God. (Astaghfirullah)
Karma means actions performed will decide the eligibility to go to heaven or hell after death, as well reincarnation.
Here we go again! The christian (baptist) religion believes that if your good and you die you go to heaven or hell if you have been bad. The Atheist religion (evolution theory) believes that there is no life after death. And many other beliefs include things many things have spirits or that there aren't spirits/ghosts/demons at all. I compared Atheist and Christian beliefs because they are the most easy to compare because there opposites. Hope this is they answer you wanted. Because we can't prove anything... yet.
well in a religious term you'll go to heaven if your good for your religion (and go to the hells of all other religions) and go to hell if your bad. but in my term everyone goes to hell as heaven has to be heaven for everyone, and people just can't get along. However this allows for one person to be in heaven as he/she isn't with anyone else. so see you in hell ;)
He says he doesn't believe in God or heaven so no. He believes in a afterlife though.
