Put a drain pan under the steering gear. Remove the retaining ring with an internal snap-ring pliers. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel to the left and continue doing so to force the shaft seals and washers out. Turn off the engine and remove the seals and washers. Replace the seals and washers with newly greased Pitman seal and washers and then replace the retaining clip.
