EPC on a Skoda Fabia's rev counter stands for "Electronic Power Control." It indicates a fault in the engine management system, typically related to the throttle or other engine components. When the EPC light is illuminated, it suggests that the vehicle may enter a reduced power mode to prevent further damage, and it's advisable to have the vehicle diagnosed by a professional.

turn ignition off. Press and hold small black plastic knob which is next to digital mileage display (Next to rev counter/speedo clocks etc.). Turn ignition on so all dash warning lights etc. illuminate whilst keeping button held down. The INSP message and little spanner should now flash too, and then it will go out and a line of blanks will show when done/reset (----). Turn ignition off and it will now be re-set.
