The best exercises are body-weight exercises, in other words, exercises that only use your body. Unfortunately, unlike for free-weight exercises, there's nothing like any standard terminology for such exercises. Some names (such as "crunches" and "leg lifts") you might know, but others you probably wouldn't know. I recommend getting a good book of body-weight exercises and using it.
