Voldemorts spells didn't work on the other children because Harry was willing to die for them. Even if he didn't die he meant to so it was like Harry's mother dieing for him. Voldemorts spells couldn't get passed because voldemort cant stand love. Dumbledore always said " love is the most powerful magic ".
