Scurvy is a condition that effects the mouth (specifically the gums) in most cases. Scurvy is caused among other things by the lack of Vitamin C. Scurvy is very common in many primitive societies where fruits such as Oranges and lemons are not part of the regular diet. Of course, there are many sources of Vitamin C, those are just a few. Brush your teeth regularly, and maintain a regular intake of essential Vitamins and Minerals and you'll be fine. Take care.

That is what scurvy is and how you get it.

To cure scurvy you should increase your intake of fresh vegetables and fruits, especially citrus fruits. As well as this, adults need to consume around 300-1,000 mg of ascorbic acid each day, and infants need to intake 50 mg each day to effectively treat the disease.
