The vastus Muscles
The quadriceps are the muscles used to grip a horse's back when riding on a horse. This muscle is sometimes called the thigh muscles.
The muscles used in the bridge exercise are primarily the glutes (buttocks), hamstrings (back of the thighs), and lower back muscles.

With exercise bands, you can work out tons of muscles. Muscles that you can work out are arm muscles, leg muscles and back muscles. With leg muscles, you can work out the thighs, and calves muscles.

Weight benches work all types of muscles. The muscles that weight benches work are the thighs, biceps, triceps, stomach, legs, chest, back and the glutes.
Yes they do form lean thighs. If you do them the right way- front foot pointing forward, back foot also pointing forward- then they help build muscles in your calves and thighs. I do them after I workout and found my thighs were tighter than usual. So, it does help make your thighs lean.
