Truth be told the British Empire was not really that strong a player in the 18th century. When you think of the British Empire, you think of this super power with full control of India, Canada, Australia, parts of Africa etc. This was not the case at all at the time of the American revolution.
The British had a very small land army based in the 13 Colonies, during this time and were forced to hire Hessian Mercenaries to bulk up there ranks. There main power lay with the Royal Navy. The US rebels had a very large land force, although it was mostly made up of part time soldiers or militia, there larger numbers defiantly made a huge difference. The rebels knew the lands a lot better, they had determination, and probably most importantly they had the backing of the French. Britains sworn enemy. It did appear for a while that Britain was going to win the war, but some good luck in the battle field pushed the Americans forward. If they had been fighting against the British Empire of the 19th century, I believe things could have went down very differently.
it was too big and to make easy to manage.
Britain planned to manage the higher costs of its vast empire primarily through the extraction of resources and taxes from its colonies. The British government aimed to increase revenue by imposing tariffs and taxes on colonial trade, which would help fund military and administrative expenses. Additionally, the empire was expected to provide economic benefits through the exploitation of natural resources and the creation of markets for British goods. Ultimately, this strategy relied on maintaining control over colonial territories to ensure a steady flow of profits.

The Ottoman Empire disintegrated and was partitioned after its defeat in World War I. ... Upon the Ottomans' defeat in World War I, a combination of nationalist movements and partition agreements among the Allied powers forced its disintegration into numerous territories, with Turkey as the empire's immediate successor.
The Americans were quick and smart - striking and retreating before the British could react. The British generals were mostly stupid and dull-witted. Their better generals were in the war against France. It was common for British army units to march to a point near where the Americans were, then set up camp instead of attacking them. This gave the Americans a chance to escape and set up attacks on the British from in hiding. The French, in the form of General LaFayette and a few French navy ships helped to turn the tide. The Americans were fighting on their own ground which they knew very well. The farmers, merchants, and other non-fighting Americans helped the American army with places to stay in the winter, along with food and sometimes, clothing.
The English language has not really had any trouble managing to survive. Because of the British Empire, the English language was spread across the world.

Kuwait was never colonized. However, Kuwait was a protectorate (which is an independent government that chooses to have another country manage defense and other external matters) of the United Kingdom from 1899-1961. The battle of Princeton was another triumph for the American side. It made them believe that they could still manage to win the war. Also, the battle made the British believe that the Americans could actually become independent.

To manage such a large empire they were angered that colonial merchants had traded with Britain's enemies during the war. Many leaders in Britain were also upset that the colonies had only halfheartedly helped in the war effort
Time and distance. It was simply to far away to manage.
