no not in a kennel club
The best place to look for a reputable breeder when buying a dog in the UK is the Kennel Club. Those breeders registered with the Kennel Club have agreed to comply with a strict code of ethics.
Pedigrees (records of family history) cannot be purchased or sold. If your Dog is Kennel Club registered then it should come with it's pedigree and Kennel Club certificate. Dog's must be registered with the Kennel Club by the breeder and both of the Dog's parents must have also been Kennel Club registered to be able to register the puppies. If you have lost your Dog's pedigree then for a fee you can usually order a new one as most Kennel Club organisations keep records of registered Dogs.
Your best bet is to contact a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder via the Kennel Club website. They will be able to put you in touch with responsible breeders in your area. Do not accept a backyard breeders puppy, or a puppy that has not had a health check.
check the kennel club the dog is registered in. www.akc.org is the American Kennel Club's website. If the dog's from that kennel club, you follow the links to the pedigrees. You should be able to order it if you have the registration information for your dog. If you have not been provided AKC registration papers for your puppy from the breeder or you have acquired an older dog you believe to be a purebred you can register him/her with an AKC Indefinite Listing Privelege (ILP) registration. The dog must be neutered or spayed for this but can compete in AKC competitons other than conformation showing. You can find requirements and forms at AKC.org.
If you want a pedigree Basset Hound from a respected breeder, you should contact the Kennel Club or look on their website to find Basset Hound breeders in your area. Never buy a puppy without seeing at least the mother and where the puppies were kept.
The breeder may consider offering you at least a partial refund if you threaten to complain to the American Kennel Club. Barring that, send all the pertinent information to American Kennel Club Case Management Dept. PO Box 900066 Raleigh, NC 27675. They will contact the breeder on your behalf.
There are lots of good Rottweiler breeders in Germany. A kennel club accredited breeder is good reliable source.
Visit the Kennel Club website and look at the Accredited Breeder Scheme. This list includes breeders that have their breeding premises annually checked by inspectors and have their puppies screened for hereditary diseases.
Yes, the breeder should supply you with the Dog's official Kennel Club pedigree papers upon purchasing the puppy. Be wary of forged documents that are often used by puppy farmers to sell fake ''pedigree'' puppies for more money. Make sure that the papers are genuine.
The Kennel Club was created in 1873.
Since the Wheaten Terrier is quite an unusual breed in the UK, I would advise finding a Kennel Club Accredited breeder through the Kennel Club website. This way you can be sure that the puppies are purebred and that they have been responsibly bred and well looked after.
The Kennel Club maintains a list of breeders of puppies of different breeds including Samoyed. It is also worth asking current owners of Samoyed puppies if they can recommend a breeder.
