The chance for a couple more slave-states, and a tighter enforcement of the Fugutive Slave Act, with official slave-catchers employed to hunt down runaways.
Allowed California to be admitted to the Union as two states - North California and South California, divided along the line of the Missouri Compromise.
It allowed California to join the USA as free soil. But to get this law passed, Congress had to make a big show of appeasing the South by enforcing the Fugitive Slave Act, which was enormously unpopular in the North, arousing new interest in Abolitionism.
They did - the Missouri Compromise. This lasted thirty years, and was only rendered impractical by the admission of California, a state that extended so far on either side of the Missouri line that both sides claimed it. If only California could have been admitted as two separate states - North and South - there needn't have been a Civil War. The Missouri Compromise was very sensible, and deserved to last.
South-Gained more population North-Got more money towards there goverment because the 3/5 compromise for every the 3 of the 5 slaves 3 of them had to be taxed so the tax went to the norths goverment
No. The Compromise allowed the Missouri territory to join the USA as a slave-state. The condition was that there should be no more new slave-states North of the parallel that marked Missouri's Southern border. This represented a clear 'line in the sand' that kept the peace for thirty years, until the admission of California made the Compromise inoperable.
The Compromise of 1850. To get it through Congress, they had to appease the South by promising to hunt down fugitive slaves and return them to their owners. This aroused sympathy for runaways, and helped to fuel inter-sectional discord.
California was in both the north and south.

Compromise of 1850.
It was getting harder to create new slave-states, so the Compromise had to include a gesture of appeasement to the South. This was the Fugitive Slave Act, which infuriated the North, and generally raised the tensions.
It would reinstate the Missouri Compromise line, extending it to the California border. Slavery would be prohibited to the north of the line and protected south of the line.
The Compromise of 1850 - allowing California to join the Union as free soil, and passing the Fugitive Slave Act to appease the South.
The war could have been avoided if California had been divided into two states - North California and South California - along the parallel of the Missouri Compromise. North California could have been free soil, and South California could have been a slave-state.
well you can say that the Missouri compromise allowed south to have slavery but north couldn't and then all went well until the compromise of 1850 when California got permitted as a free state south got mad and the civil war began. I'm writing a report on this too but includes more.
The Compromise of 1850 was the plan in which California entered the US as a free state and the Fugitive Slave Law was passed. This compromise aimed to address the issue of slavery expansion between free and slave states. The Fugitive Slave Law required that escaped slaves be returned to their owners, even if they were in free states.
