the major effects of the wars created new superpowers. After the wars France and Britain had taken many casualties, and lost many of their colonies, while the USA got a massive economy from making weapons of war, and the Soviet Union gained much territory in Europe.

Hi I don't intend to cover the two decades between the two WOrld Wars, but it is clear that the conditions of repayment that the Allies imposed on a defeated Germany after WWI set the stage for a leader like Hitler who was politically active in the late 1920s before he came to power as the German Chancellor in 1933. Hitler did not have to work too hard on an impoverished and largely unemployed German population to whip up sentiment against the countries thought largely responsible for the dreadful living conditions in Germany after WWI when they were prohibited from having a Navy or air force of any consequence (Hitler put the Luftwaffe together in secret; he also built battleships in secret, although how you could do that is quite a mystery to me). Hitler also invaded the Rhineland, which was part of Germany ceded to France after WWI protesting that his people were not invading, they were merely making "Liebensraum" or "Living Space" when in fact the Rhineland was the heart of German war production. Hitler was largely allowed his "Liebensraum" invasions because even the British and French though the conditions imposed on Germany after WWI were too harsh, and it wasn't until Germany invaded Poland that England and France were required by treaty to declare war on Germany in 1939. One effect, especially for Britain could be that rations (mainly for food) were substained in many countries. Also, families had to cope with the loss of family members and friends, who had signed up for the war, and face the fact they may never see them again.

Well this answer might not answer your answer but there are still trenches in Europe and sometimes they make a sink hole and destroy things and there are still mines and shells that were never exploded and sometimes people mess around with them and die

One effect/legacy is Pearl Harbor. Pear Harbor was attacked by the Japanese on Sunday December 7th, 1941. I only know more about World War 2 than 1.
