You should note that when international politics and diplomacy are involved, there are no real friends but different countries with common or diverging interests that more often than not, end up in 'friendly rivalries', contempt or even outright war.

With that in mind, France is one of the closest business parters of Mexico, and there are plenty of cultural ties to talk about. Recently however, diplomatic relations among both countries have suffered due to disagreements over justice issues, such as the case of Florence Cassez, a young French woman jailed in Mexico from 2005 to 2013 for alleged participation in a kidnapping gang run by her Mexican boyfriend. Another one is the case of former governor Arturo Montiel, who failed to return his three young children to his ex-wife in France following a vacation in Mexico. Maude Versini, the kids' mother, is beseeching the French government to intercede on her behalf, further damaging the relations between both countries.

Now, on general terms, neither French nor Mexican people have ill will against each other, mainly due to most pressing matters, such as Mexico's standing issues with its northern neighbor (the United States), or France's own issues with its immediate neighbors and illegal immigrants pouring into its own soil.

Some people hate some other people all over the world. It is not the case only with the French. May be some Muslim offended someone in France. It may be a personal and individual case. The French are very sophisticated, civilized, cultured, educated and humane.

.Why should they hate anybody?

No

No one can claim that the French hate Muslims or Muslims hate the French. Muslims in France don't feel any racism or discrimination against them except on some few individual cases as any religion and any other country.

Most French Non-Muslims (contrary to Muslim assertions) are not actually Anti-Muslim. While there are certainly a minority of individuals who say that Muslims themselves are a cancer on society, this is a very limited opinion and is usually related to criticisms of the religion of Islam. Muslims of all backgrounds, like Arabs, Indians, Southeast Asians, etc. are typically warm, hospitable, and loving people. What bothers many French citizens about the Muslim community in France is its failure to integrate with the rest of French culture, the French valuation of human rights, and Islam's effect on the French criminal justice system and French legal system.

Muslim Failure to Integrate:
Most Muslims in France live in isolated communities, they have their own schools, and generally stay outside the main sphere of French life. There are also higher incidences of polygamy, forced marriage, and cases of honor killings. A substantial percentage of crimes in France (far in excess of the Muslim percentage in France overall) are committed by French Muslims, including acts of vandalism, robbery, and murder. This is not to say that the Muslims are the only ones At Fault for this failure to integrate and French Laws have caused antagonism between the Muslim and Non-Muslim communities in France, but this violent relationship only helps to fan the flames.

Differences of French and Muslim opinion on Human Rights:
One of the major sticking points in a debate between future President Nicholas Sarkozy and celebrated European Muslim Tariq Ramadan was that Sarkozy was infuriated that Ramadan would not condemn the stoning of women outright. Ramadan suggested that the best way to stop the stoning of women would be to put a moratorium on the practice. The difference between these two positions is not consequential since in both cases women will not be stoned if it is considered an illegal practice or a practice under moratorium, but the difference is deontological. In Sarkozy's opinion, and the opinion of a large percentage of French people, the stoning of women is a fundamental wrong and should be advocated as such regardless of what religions may view as desirable. It's thoroughly insulting to have to even have a discussion about what could be permissible in stoning women. In Ramadan's opinion, the way to modernize Islam and Muslims in general is not to throw out the baby with the bath-water and institute pure secular law, but to find Islamic methods to create a more stable and modern form of Islam that is still honest to the pillars of the faith. Islam is a religion for all times and all places, so there must be a viable answer within Islam to deal with such issues.

French Legal Issues:
Many French leaders are afraid that Muslims will petition the French government for official Shari'a Courts to handle issues of Muslim family life such as marriage and divorce. Such courts have had negative implications for human rights and integration in the United Kingdom.

French Political Issues:
If there may be one thing worth noting here, it is that Non-Muslim French citizens hope that Muslims can take a critical look at their past in a way that, up to this point, few of them have dared to do. Modern France is founded on questioning everything, especially the sacred. French continue to defend fundamental rights and freedoms, such as the freedom of speech (even to say disrespectful things or to make serious historical inquiries) or the equality of all people and religion before the law.

Charlie Hebdo
Of course, no discussion on French Anti-Muslim sentiment would be complete without a discussion of Islamic Terrorism perpetrated in France, especially the recent Charlie Hebdo attacks. This was a direct clash between Islamic culture, which supports protecting people's feelings over vulgarity designed to question norms, and French culture which supports open vulgarity designed to question norms over personal sensitivities. Charlie Hebdo, for many French people, represents the modern ideal of French culture in the sense that it is brash, artistic, and irreverent. It is these exact elements that made it the target for Islamic extremism and leads French people to believe that Muslims cannot reconcile themselves to what French culture is and means.
