∙ 13y agoPS3 has a HDMI output that can take the PS3 HDMI combo A/V cable that comes with the console when purchased or you can use an optional PS3 Component and HDMI cable or a HDMI cable with the HDMI plug on both ends. So on every PS3 cable one end has a HDMI plug that goes into the PS3 and the other end of the cable has different connections.

If you mean How do you Play PS3 games on High Resolution using a PS3 then it must be connected to a HDTV with a HDMI or component cable and the PS3 setting menu should be for HD. PS3 games will not play on a Blue Ray disc Player that is not the PS3 console

When it works right putting a disc into the PS3 will turn on the HDTV and also switch the HDTV over to that HDMI input rather than a cable box or similar item even if it was on the cable box when you last used the HDTV.

It is your TV that is saying no signal and not the PS3. When it happens to me it is when the TV is not switched to the correct source. For me this is when the HDTV is still at the PS3 source of HDMI or HDMI-3 plug and not the cable HDMI plug or HDMI-1. It can also happen when you purchase a cheap HDMI cable that stops working or when something is just disconnected from either end of the PS3 A/V or HDMI cable
