The most popular, simple. Fighting, MMORPGS (Massively Multi-player Online Role-Playing Games), Sports (yes they actually are really popular somehow),and offline RPGs (like Final Fantasy) I agree but I would say shooting games. e.g. Halo123 Call of Duty123 and medal of honour.

I can't help you with that but if your wanting to play with a ton of people you can get Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

I do agree but I have been hearing around that black ops is about to beat it and when MW3 comes out it will be the most popular game but if u want to play with alot of people MW2 and black ops are your best bet.

well, this answer might change over time, but now (Dec. 2010) Donkey Kong Country Returns and New Super Mario Bros. Wii are really popular, or so I've been told. I've never played DK Country returns, but the New Mario Bros. was Great!

Definitely Skyrim, the 5th in The Elder Scrolls series.

Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 are popular also, but mw3 is better in my opinion. High action.
