There are different grading systems, so grade 8 may not mean the same thing to everybody. Talent and dedication vary a lot from person to person, too, so any amount of time is just an estimate. Most grading systems are based on an average student with a reasonable amount of work advancing one or two grades per year, so we might guess 4 to 8 years, As long as you are making progress, don't worry about time so much.
