Syria, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt collectively hold anywhere from 3-5 million Iraqi refugees. SYria and Jordan alone have almost 1 million each. Meanwhile the United States has accepted less than 800 Iraqi refugees. Based on the above, the situation in Iraq seems worse than media portrays it.
