The two closest mentors to Bob Marley in trench town from the time he walked into the area were Ricardo scott( Ras Cardo), and Junior Braithwaite. They were also the ones who passed the reggae musical torch to him when he told them about his plans to start his own group since they were moving on to do other things. Ras Cardo went to school due to his parents insistence, and Later Junior went to live with his father in Chicago. It is important to remember that Cardo did not leave the music scene, but only took a more backseat role with the group.
