When has the filter and fluid been changed last with genuwine Hyundai atf fluid? any other fluid will shorten the life of the transmission... its more than likely a bad shift sensor since its electronically controlled.
This morning I had the same problem on my 1995 Accent as i hadn't driven it in a couple days. However when I drove my car again later today, i let the car warm up for a bit, and when i shifted into reverse i waited for the gear to kick in and after driving again was able to use all gears and overdrive.
