People lived a nomadic life on the Arabian peninsula due to its arid and desert climate, making it difficult to settle in one place for extended periods. Nomadism allowed them to follow scarce sources of water and grazing land for their livestock, ensuring their survival in a harsh environment. Additionally, nomadic lifestyle facilitated trade and interactions with other communities across the region.

What two important geographic features determined life on the arabian peninsula
Early Arab people were nomadic due to environmental factors, such as the arid desert landscape of the Arabian Peninsula, which made farming difficult. Nomadism allowed them to move in search of water and pastures for their livestock, enabling them to survive in a harsh environment and maintain their way of life. Additionally, trade routes and interactions with other nomadic groups influenced their lifestyle.

The Arabian Peninsula is sparsely populated primarily because most of the land mass is a parched desert, unable to support life.
The Arabian Peninsula is largely arid desert. There are a few oasis areas but just not enough fertile farmlands are available to allow for a agriculture based way of sustenance. Without a farm to raise food, people use animals a main food source. Feeding animals requires grazing. The rainfall patterns on the Arabian Peninsula dictate the pattern of nomadic life. (This is very similar to the way that the indigenous peoples of the America's followed the buffalo.) The oasis areas, where people have settled to farm, are where the nomads trade animal and goods for grain, vegetables or other agricultural goods. Time and season dictate the pattern the nomads will follow each year.
Arabs survived on the Arabian Peninsula primarily as nomadic pastoralists, meaning that they raised sheep and goats and moved across the Arabian Peninsula in search of grass to graze. They would usually find increased greenery at one of the many oases on the Arabian Peninsula. Eventually, Arabs created cities that could effectively trade local wealth and products for foreign foodstuffs from breadbaskets like Mesopotamia or Egypt.
