What mileage should oil be change for 2004 dodge neon?

If you drive normally with a mix of around 50/50 city highway, I recommend changing the oil and filter every 5,000 miles. If you drive a 75/50 mix then I would recommend 4,500 miles, and if you drive 25/75 I would recommend 5,500 miles. 100% highway you can use 6,000 miles. All city then I would use 4,000 miles. As you can see it depends on how you drive. Make sure to use the correct weight oil as listed in your owner's manual and use a quality filter such as Purolator, Wix, or AC/Delco. If you are using 100% Synthetic oil then add 3,000 miles to all these figures. Also change the air filter every 30,000 miles. Although i would agree with most of the above statements... if you really cared about your vehical .... i would.......... ***NEVER GO OVER 3000 MILES*** before an oil change, and it doesent matter if its in-city or hiway. Todays engines run VERY HOT and the viscosity of the oil breaks down quite fast. Running over 3000 miles only invites "friction problems" which leads to early wear. Yes... you can get away with it, but do you really want to destroy your engine by running on worn-out oil? ... just to save a few bucks??? CLEAN oil is the ***key*** to friction protection,,, and running at highway speeds will just destroy your engine if your viscosity is nill. In my opinion , NEVER EVER go over 3000 before changing oil. EVER Also, i would highly reocmmend "ONCE A YEAR" have your transmission serviced. People neglect there Transmissions like it never needs service...THEY DO. You take care it these things,,, and they will take care of you. If you neglect these things, they will leave you stranded with a huge unexpected bill, just because you want to save a "few bucks". If you go cheap... well, that explains itself.

The light is on because there is a problem with the SRS. Working on this system is very hazardous. For this reason, I recommend you take it to a profession for repair. It may even be still under warranty. They will reset the light after the system is repaired.

How long to become a automobile technician?

It depends on what your after. If you just want to be lube and tire tech, then a High School education is the only thing you need, but you will never advance in your career. If you want to learn about the top of the line performance cars and the most advanced automotive systems, then you can go to Universal Technical Institute or Wyotech, and their programs are run about 14 months, but they do not offer a degree. If you want a degree in auto repair, there are a lot of "Technical Colleges," that offer 2 year automotive associates degree programs. In those programs, they not only teach you the basics of auto repair and automotive theory, but they teach you how to be a technician.

It doesn't really matter what type of school you go to because most shops will start you off in an entry level position. To actually be an automotive technician takes years of hands on experience that a school can't teach you. Going to a technical college and earning an associates degree would be the fastest road to being a technician.

If you have a engine code p0203 on a 2000 dodge neon how do you fix it?

Trouble code P0203 means: Injector Circuit / Open - Cylinder 3 I think you need to replace the Injector on cylinder 3 ********************** Remove the air intake snorkle that covers the #3 and #4 injectors. On the bottom of the snorkle you should find a metalic pad. Now, look at the wires that feed the #3 injector. If the injector is turned to just the right position, the wires can rub on the metalic pad. If it wears enough it will rub through the wire insulation and you will be able to see copper stranded wire as a result. To repair this, place some automotive-type silicone gasket maker (in a tube), covering the bare wire and then allow to dry for 24 hours. Also, turn the injector 45 degrees (either right or left) to move the wires away from the metalic pad. This will effectively lower the wires so that they won't rub. Another thing that could be done is to add a 1/4" spacer under the snorkle bracket on the front locating stud. This will also increase the space between the bottom of the snorkle and the #3 injector wiring harness/connector. If this doesn't fix the problem then it's probably your injector.

What causes the oil pressure light to come on in a 2000 dodge neon?

Oil pressure lights indicate improper oil pressure. A pressure sensor is mounted on the engine to monitor the pressure. When the engine oil pressure drops to a level below the perameters required for proper engine operation as determined by the manufacturer, the sensor acts as a switch to complete an electrical current, illuminating the light. Low oil pressure can be caused by, among other things, insufficient oil level, or internal engine component wear, including a worn oil pump.
